About St John Clinic and Dr Helen St John
Dr Helen St John qualified with a medical degree from Bristol University in 1989. Having chosen a career in surgery in central London, she gained membership to The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 1994.
During this part of her career, Dr St John set up a well woman clinic in 1995, incorporating traditional gynaecology with the latest cosmetic medical treatments. Her interest in facial rejuvenation led to further training and study within the field and she has been something of a trailblazer in the use of these techniques that have grown immensely in popularity over the past 10-15 years. She now practices exclusively in the field of non-surgical cosmetic medicine. She offers the following treatments: -
- Removal of facial lines and wrinkles
- Lip and cheek enhancement
- Treatment of excessive underarm sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis) using Botox
- Fraxel (restore) to face, neck, décolleté and hands
- Obagi skincare and chemical peels
- Laser liposuction
Dr St John assesses and treats all clients at the St John Clinic. She is based in Wimbledon but travels regularly to her other clinics. All clinics are therefore assured of the very best care.
Mission Statement
I love what I do. I get great personal satisfaction by making my clients look their most youthful in as gentle and natural a way as possible. There is no doubt that for most of us, when we look our best, we have renewed confidence and energy about every aspect of our lives. This new confidence is life enriching and I aim to achieve this goal for all my clients.
My aim, in essence, is to make my clients look more youthful. Youthfulness, in my view, is principally about: -
- Eliminating, as far as possible, vertical facial lines (frown furrows, nose to mouth folds, lines at the mouth corners)
- Smoothing out lines around eyes and lips
- Adding subtle definition to lips and cheeks
- Improving the texture of the skin
It is not always necessary to treat all these areas to achieve a significant impact on a client’s face. Removal of a frown-furrow alone is a simple procedure that has an incredibly positive impact on the whole face. My policy is not to charge fro consultations. In fact, I encourage clients to return should they have concerns following treatment. I feel that an “open door” policy is important to foster a sound relationship going forward. Because the cosmetic medical treatments I offer are not permanent, it is important that treatment is ongoing in order to maintain a youthful appearance. As such, I have always priced my treatments competitively relative to other doctors with a similar level of experience. I reason that if my treatments are affordable, then my clients are more likely to return for re-treatments. The result is that my clients will look their best at all times.
I look forward to seeing you at one of the St John Clinics soon.
